With school season at an end, now comes the season for routine maintenance! Every summer we perform a little routine maintenance on The Legacy School, an innovative school located in Sykesville, MD, that provides a safe, non-traditional educational program for students with language-based learning disabilities from elementary age up to 8th grade. The school boasts an expansive seven-acre campus, utilizing the space for creative activities and lessons with specially trained faculty. With one-on-one tutoring, speech and language therapy and counseling, there’s a lot of activity going on all over the campus, and they need a durable, great interior paint job that lasts.

With hundreds of kids passing through the rooms and hallways, it’s important to use a durable paint that works hard. We use a product from Sherwin-Williams called Pro Industrial Pre-Catalyzed Waterbased Epoxy. It’s an interior, single component, pre-catalyzed waterborne acrylic epoxy with the durability, adhesion and resistance to stains and cleaning solvents similar to two-component waterborne acrylic epoxies. Its washable (a must for a school) chemical resistant, hard, impact-resistant finish makes it the ideal coating for high traffic areas like schools. This paint is specially formulated for block, drywall, masonry and concrete, perfect for any project that demands durability and performance, with the ability to withstand repeated cleanings.
