As a painting company, some of the most common questions revolve around color. To be specific, what are the trends and what’s in/ out of style. As we near the end of the year and look forward toward 2026 it is exciting to see what is changing.
Recently we completed painting this spectacular Entrance Foyer located in Glenwood, MD. Projects like this come with many challenges a require an experienced Painting Contractor who understands how to navigate them. To start, it was very high with lots of aspects on the ceiling to paint. Including a large 4 piece crown molding, coffered ceiling (with crown molding) and a very large medallion. To top it off, an extremely large (REAL) crystal chandelier right in the center. It is extremely important not rush the process, to protect all unpainted surfaces, and have a clean execution!

One of the best times to consider a large painting project is during the time that a home or residence is vacant. Although scheduling can sometimes make this difficult, painting before you move into your new home is the ideal situation! The process is much more efficient when the space is not filled with obstructions like furniture and belongings. In turn, usually lowering the total project cost. Painting an exposed ceiling can make your space look more modern as well as improve functionality. It is a great cost effective alternative to hanging drywall or installing a drop ceiling.
Although a project like this looks simple, there are many things to consider. Most importantly is that the paint must be applied with a sprayer. It is virtually impossible to get around and behind all the different surfaces with a brush and roller. Not to mention the incredible amount of time it would take. As you can guess, using a sprayer in between ceiling joists comes with its own challenges and is better left to a professional! Check out this awesome project located in New Windsor, MD that we are so excited to be a part of. This Historic Barn was torn down, moved, and rebuilt into a beautiful new home! We have recently started the first phase of painting, which includes priming the new drywall and painting the ceilings. This will be an ongoing project with many different paint phases.
With extremely tall ceilings, exposed beams and a variety of difficult to reach surfaces, this type of project requires an experienced painting company that has the tools, skills and knowledge!
One of the most common questions when it comes to Kitchen Cabinet Painting is “Are my cabinets even paintable?” The answer is… yes and no. To achieve optimal results it depends on what material your cabinets are made of. Generally speaking most cabinets are made of wood. However, engineered wood cabinets might be made from MDF, plywood, particleboard and covered with veneer, thermofoil or laminate. These types of cabinets are not ideal to paint, due to sandability, adhesion and structural integrity. Over time engineered cabinets tend to delaminate and/or fall apart. For best results, Hardwood cabinets like maple and cherry are ideal for painting.
